This week's alphabet challenge letter is D for distress. I went with distressing the edges with my scissors and also sponged edges.
I selected a Mint Macaron card base and stamped around the edges with a Timeless Texture stamp, stamping it off first so the image was much lighter. The top three panels were gifted to me by Kandie and I thought they would look lovely for my distressed card.
I took my scissor blade to the two larger panels to distress them and rough them up. I colored both the lace and doily piece you can just see peeking out with Copic marker to make them not be bright white.
I decided that the sentiment should be stamped in a different color than black and went with basic gray, heat embossing it for some shine.
The middle panel is popped up with dimensionals to give room for the lace behind it.
I borrowed my daughter's teacup for the photo as I thought it looked nice with this card.
Thanks for the challenge and thank you for looking.

Is the teacup old? Looks like some my grandma had, which now we all have a few. Your card, besides distressed, is divine! Such a lovely vintage creation.

Catherine, this Vintage card is so pretty, right down to the piece of lace. Thanks for pairing it with that pretty teacup!
